My usual go to for an appetizer sure to please when having a cook-out is ABT's (atomic buffalo turds). But I had been reading about a similar recipe that I knew I had to try...Pig Shots!
This was a very simple recipe and it was a HUGE hit. They are now in my permanent rotation for appetizers at a gathering.
- Kielbasa x 2
- 2 lbs. of Thick Cut Bacon
- 12 oz. of Softened Cream Cheese
- 3/4 Cup of Shredded Cheese (I used cheddar)
- 3 oz. Diced Green Chiles
- 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
- 3/4 tsp BBQ Rub (I used Dizzy Pig Dizzy Dust)

Summer is almost here, and swim season is about to start. One of the most important things pool owners must do is protect children from accidental drowning. Drowning is the second leading cause of unintentional injury related deaths for kids 14 and younger. It’s important to make sure that unsupervised children do not have access to your swimming pool. In many local jurisdictions, newly constructed in ground pools are required to have a locked gate and fence to keep unsupervised children from entering the pool area. In many instances, a gate alarm and swimming pool alarm are also required.

One of my favorite foods is a well prepared rack of ribs. I don't want them over done to the point where they fall apart when you pick them up. I also don't want to lose any teeth trying to pull the meat off the bone. I like a nice tender rib, where the meat requires just a little tug when taking a bite and comes clean off the bone. With a little practice and knowing what to look for you can produce great ribs right in your own backyard.
Ribs - Pork Baby Back Ribs or Pork Spare Ribs
BBQ Sauce (optional)
In this guide we will be using St. Louis Style Spar...

The winter of 2014 has been brutal and we are looking forward to the beginning of summer. Pool owners are counting the days to opening their pool and enjoying the summer. Spring is here, but for some of us, we’re still some time away from opening our pools. Even though your pool may still be closed, there is maintenance that is required to prevent costly problems. Here is a quick check list to help you avoid costly repairs and clean ups:
1. Make sure your pool cover is secure. With the brutal winter we’ve had, your cover may need some attention. For a above ground pool, make sure that the...

When Baquacil first came out, it was a great alternative to chlorine. Pool owners loved it. Our customers raved about how Baquacil was so simple to use and how soft it made the water feel. There was no more eye irritation and no more harsh chemical odors. It also didn’t bleach bathing suits and pool liners. Baquacil quickly became the popular pool sanitizer amongst our customers. A couple of years go by without any dissatisfaction from our Baquacil customers and the popularity of the system grew. Just when we thought nothing could go wrong with Baquacil, some of our customers started ge...Read More

My quest for a ceramic grill started about 6 months ago. I wanted a grill that was very versatile, used hardwood lump charcoal as its fuel source and would last a long time. These requirements narrowed the field to two choices; The Big Green Egg and Primo. While both are great grills I decided on the Primo Oval XL and I am glad I did.
When my Primo arrived on a freight truck it was very well packaged in a wooden crate. After a careful inspection to make sure the ceramic was still in one piece, it was time to get the grill to its new home. This is definitely not a one man job as the grill weighs...
