Product Information

Details

Our IQ120 takes the IQ110 up a couple of notches. It adds a digital display and food probe. The display gives exact cooking and food temperatures. The analog control of the IQ110 is replaced by a digital encoder to set desired cooking temperature and many other parameters include Food Done alarms and programmable cooking temperature changes.

The IQ120 is an Automatic Barbecue Controller for charcoal barbecue pits. It is a self-contained, easy-to-use device used to regulate internal pit temperature and feed air to the charcoal fire as necessary to maintain the pitmaster's desired cooking temperature.

One food probe is included to monitor the cooking progress of the food. Food temp can be used to sound an alarm when the food reaches a programmable temperature. Food temp can also be programmed to automatically change cooking temp for two-stage cooking or holding when done.

Product Questions

Ask a Question

  • Will this fit and work well on a Large Kamado Joe Grill?

This unit IQ120SA will not fit the Kamado Joe. This unit features the standard adapter which fits the Weber Kettle, Weber Smokey Mountain, offset smokers and most other pits.

The unit IQ120KL which includes the Large Kamado Adapter will fit your Large Kamado Joe Grill. Here is a link to the product: IQ120KL

The IQ120KL works and fits well with the Kamado Joe Big Joe and Classic Joe.

  • I have a weber performer grill with the ash trap covering the bottom vent holes. How would the pitmaster be attached or could modifications be done such as drilling some additional vent hole(s)
"There are two ways to accomplish this. The first method is to remove the ash catcher hardware and simply attach the Standard Manifold and hi-temp tape strips to the kettle. The ash catcher hardware removes without tools. In the second method the ash catcher hardware is left on and a 1/2" conduit hole (7/8" hole saw) is drilled in the kettle down low and near the front using the Standard Manifold's 1/4" mounting hole as a hole location guide. Remember to keep the air injection point well below the level of the charcoal grate. The Standard Manifold toggle bolt is then placed through the hole."
